New Graduate School Deans Appointed
We are happy to announce that Brad Jones, Ph.D, Professor of Chemistry, and Dr. Dwayne Godwin, Professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy, have both been appointed as deans of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Jones will serve as dean of the graduate programs in the arts and sciences on the Reynolda campus; and Dr. Godwin will serve as dean of graduate programs in the biomedical sciences on the Bowman Gray campus. Both have served as interim deans in their respective positions since July 2012.
Wake Forest University will continue to have one Graduate School led by Drs. Jones and Godwin. The new deans will continue to co-chair the Graduate Council and graduate faculty meetings and foster cross-campus collaborations and joint programs. Each office will continue to manage their individual school budgets, student processes, programs and trainees; though the Graduate School will continue to maintain its core policies and procedures.
