New Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies Program

We are excited to announce that the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program at Wake Forest University has been revamped, and is now accepting applications from both part-time and full-time applicants for the Fall 2012 semester. The new program offers two academic tracks: American Cultural Studies and Global Studies, with flexibility to include electives from other graduate school disciplines. Students learn to forge connections between the liberal arts and public engagement, are awakened to the ways in which profound thought can transform their community for the better, and are empowered to combine their intellectual passions with their vocations. Courses offered will draw upon the expertise of four core departments: Communication, English, History, and Political Science. Students will have the opportunity to experience fresh and innovative interdisciplinary perspectives from traditional branches of the rich Liberal Arts curriculum of Wake Forest University. All courses are taught in the evenings, meeting one night per week. Scholarship assistance is available.
